On July 17 yesterday, we were invited by a resident to help him harvest Japanese cucumbers in one of the gardens owned by a farmer in the village of Yuemei. This is another new experience for us, because previously we were invited to harvest pineapple and dragon fruit. We have been preparing since six o'clock, because it will be picked up at half past seven. Arriving there, before harvesting, we were first taught how to harvest properly and were told cucumber traits that could be harvested. We were not too long in this place, because the garden was not too large. Before returning home, we were asked to bring some of the harvested cucumbers.

In the afternoon, around 2 o'clock, we were invited again by the uncle to plant flowers. Actually on Monday we did it, but because it was cut off by the Asr prayer time, it wasn't finished. Therefore, we will solve it now. According to the uncle, later the flowers we planted will be purple and red. In addition, there are many more colors from this type of lisianthus flower. We just finished almost six in the afternoon. Here we are also given education about the use of organic fertilizers. So Taiwanese farmers have started to move from chemical fertilizers to organic, although not all of them. The mindset of the farmers here is very good. They don't only think about money, but also about the sustainability of agriculture.

In the evening, we were visited by professors Wu and his family, Dr. Pho Chun, and several community leaders. they came to visit us to discuss how in the future the projects we have carried out in the village of Yuemei will continue to work, and discuss activities that will be made for next week, namely the workshop for making organic fertilizer. after the discussion was over, we reported the progress of our project to Professor Wu and he asked about what experiences and knowledge we had while in Taiwan.
